Liverpool FC will support the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal 2026 with two Anfield remembrance fixtures, poppy pins and auctioned match-worn shirts. The club will mark Remembrance Day across both its men’s and women’s matches against Arsenal, with proceeds from sales and auctions going to the appeal.
Anfield fixtures
The men’s Premier League match takes place this Sunday at 4.30pm GMT, and the Barclays Women’s Super League match follows on Remembrance Sunday, November 8, at 12pm GMT. Both teams will host Arsenal at Anfield, with a period of silence before kick-off and the Last Post played ahead of both games.
Players will wear home shirts featuring the Remembrance Day poppy. After the fixtures, those shirts will be signed by all players and auctioned to raise funds for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
Poppy pins and proceeds
Liverpool FC will also sell an LFC Royal British Legion poppy pin in-store and online, alongside support through the matchday programme and perimeter LED boards. The club said 100 per cent of the proceeds from poppy pin sales will go directly to the Royal British Legion.
The appeal supports the armed forces community and their families, and Liverpool FC said it works with Merseyside Royal British Legion representatives through the LFC Foundation’s Military Veterans project. That project aims to help ex-military service men and women back into civilian life through football.
Funding questions
The club is raising money through shirt auctions and poppy sales, but it has not said how much the appeal may bring in. Fans buying the poppy pin know exactly where that money goes: every pound from those sales is directed to the Royal British Legion, while the shirts add a separate auction stream after the matches.
For readers who want to give directly, the Royal British Legion directs donations to its Poppy Appeal. The two fixtures give Liverpool FC a fixed route to raise money and attention around Remembrance Day, with the scale of the return left to the response at Anfield and online.
