Honda Cuts CR-V Prices to £43,995 in UK Honda Cr-v Price Reduction In The Uk

Honda’s CR-V price reduction in the UK trims the eHEV hybrid’s starting point to £43,995 from £48,075, a £4,080 cut that changes the entry cost of the line. Buyers still face a premium versus several rivals, but Honda is trying to narrow the gap with a sharper price structure across the CR-V and ZR-V.

Michael Doyle on Honda value

Michael Doyle said, “Honda is committed to delivering great value alongside the quality, technology and reliability customers expect from the brand. This new pricing structure strengthens the appeal of both the CR-V and ZR-V, making our electrified SUVs an even more compelling choice for customers”. The comment matters because it ties the price move to the two SUV lines Honda is trying to reposition, not just a single trim.

CR-V eHEV and ePHEV pricing

£46,995 is the new total for the CR-V eHEV when buyers move from Elegance to Advance, while the CR-V ePHEV now costs £44,995 in Elegance Tech and £47,995 in Advance Tech. Honda has cut the floor price without stripping away the higher trims, which keeps the range broad enough for buyers who want a cheaper start or a better-equipped car.

£39,390 is the starting price of the Skoda Kodiaq, and the cheapest plug-in hybrid Skoda Kodiaq costs £42,485. Even after Honda’s cut, the CR-V stays above those figures, so the revised pricing improves its pitch without erasing the comparison problem that had made the model look expensive.

ZR-V below £40,000

£35,215 is the new starting price for the ZR-V in Elegance trim, down from £36,525, while Sport costs £37,455 and Advance is £39,585. That puts the top trim below the Government’s luxury car tax supplement threshold if no options are added, and it gives the ZR-V Sport more room for extras before crossing £40,000.

Just over £31,000 is where the Nissan Qashqai starts, so Honda’s revised ZR-V pricing still leaves the model above a lower-priced rival in the same broad segment. The ZR-V sits between the HR-V and the CR-V in Honda’s range, and this pricing move gives it a clearer place for buyers who want electrified SUV space without moving all the way to the CR-V.
