Cody Johnson Belfast cancellation hits final Irish tour dates

Cody Johnson Belfast plans ended hours before stage time on Wednesday, when he canceled his Belfast show and his Dublin date for Thursday after being diagnosed with a viral infection. The two Irish concerts were the final stops on Cody Johnson Live '26 tour of the UK and Ireland.

Wednesday and Thursday

MCD Productions shared Johnson’s statement on Instagram on Wednesday afternoon, giving ticket holders little runway before the Belfast cancellation that night. He said, “I am really sorry to say that I am going to have to cancel tonight’s show in Belfast and tomorrow’s show in Dublin.”

Johnson also said, “I have been doing all I can to make these shows happen but after just seeing a doctor and on their advice, I have been diagnosed with a viral infection and advised not to perform.” For fans who had already bought in, the immediate practical step is a refund at point of purchase, with the Dublin tickets having gone on sale in February from €68.20.

Glasgow to Ireland

The cancellation landed after a run that began in Manchester on October 24 and moved through London, Birmingham and Glasgow, where Johnson played Monday night before the Irish dates were pulled. Parker McCollum and Emily Ann Roberts were the support acts across the run, but the final two Irish shows never reached the stage.

Johnson said he had been looking forward to the Irish dates for a long time and that he would do all he can to come back to Ireland as soon as he can and play the shows. That is the part that matters now: buyers can get their money back, but no new dates have been announced yet, so anyone planning around Belfast and Dublin should treat the current booking as finished, not postponed.

Refunds at purchase

Refunds are available from wherever the ticket was bought, which gives affected buyers a clear next step even if travel plans are harder to unwind. For a tour that closed with two Irish dates, the last-minute cut leaves Johnson with a straight choice for the promoter and ticketing side: reschedule the pair or leave them as the tour’s lost finale.
