Forrest Frank warns family loss after election feed posts

Forrest Frank said he opened social media the day after the U.S. midterm elections and saw posts about gender identity and abortion, then posted a warning to his followers. In an Instagram video on Nov. 4, the Dove Award-winning Christian singer said he usually tries to stay out of politics but felt compelled to speak anyway.

“Do not mess around with God. Do not mess around with the family,” he said, adding, “If we lose the family, we lose everything,” words that tied his message to a religious warning rather than a policy argument.

Forrest Frank’s Instagram warning

Frank said the posts in his feed included claims about inventing new gender identities, children and gender transition, and a joke about paying for abortions. He said some of those posts had drawn thousands of likes, which gave his response a sharper edge: he was reacting to content that already had reach inside the same feed his followers use.

He also said speaking up could cost him followers. That detail matters because it shows he knew the message might narrow his audience even as he chose to make it public.

Malachi 4:6 and family

Frank connected the warning to Malachi 4:6 and urged followers to pay closer attention to the spiritual life of their families. The emphasis landed on the home, not on an argument about social media itself, and that is the lens he chose to use after seeing the posts.

For readers who follow him for music as much as messaging, the post also fits a larger rollout around The Jesus Generation. He will release the album on Dec. 4 through River House Records, after previewing nine songs on Instagram and inviting fans to help choose which one to release first.

The Jesus Generation rollout

The album takes its name from a May single and from his sold-out summer tour, which visited 29 cities. The previews included collaborations with Lecrae, KB, Michael W. Smith, JVKE, and ZVC and Elevation Rhythm, and that set up the next step in the rollout without changing the message he sent on Nov. 4.

His documentary, The Jesus Generation Movie, is headed to theaters in 2027 through Lionsgate and Kingdom Story Company. The teaser combines live performances and behind-the-scenes footage with moments of worship and personal testimony from the tour, while the exact theatrical release date has yet to be announced.

That leaves Frank in a familiar position: publicly outspoken on family and faith, even after saying he usually avoids politics. The unanswered piece is still the one inside the feed he described — which specific posts he saw, and whether they were isolated examples or part of a broader pattern.
