Police Seek Next-of-Kin for Unhoused Man Killed in Attack

Toronto police have identified a man killed in an attack near City Hall, but they are still trying to contact his next of kin. The victim, 62-year-old Joseph Eric Aubin, was involved in a violent incident on August 31 in Nathan Phillips Square.
Details of the Incident
The assault occurred shortly after 6 a.m. Aubin was sleeping on a bench when he was approached by multiple suspects. One suspect, armed with a hammer, violently attacked him.

Notably, both suspects were on release orders at the time of their arrest.
