Rail Traffic Halted Between Differdange and Pétange
Train services are currently suspended in both directions between Differdange and Pétange, as well as between Bascharage-Sanem and Pétange. This disruption was caused by damage to a bridge due to an external incident.
Replacement Bus Services Implemented
In response to the halted train traffic, CFL has established a replacement bus service. This service operates between Bascharage and Longwy or Athus, facilitating transportation in both directions.
- Replacement buses stop at all stations along the route.
- Passengers traveling from Differdange to Pétange are advised to use regular bus lines.
Technical Teams Working to Restore Service
CFL’s technical teams are actively working on-site to restore rail services as swiftly as possible. The resumption of train services is gradually taking place between Differdange and Pétange, and between Bascharage-Sanem and Pétange.
However, delays and cancellations may still occur until service returns to normal. CFL has apologized for the inconvenience and recommends passengers check the latest travel information on their official site.
