About the Songwriters Hall of Fame

Established in 1969, the Songwriters Hall of Fame acknowledges the immense contributions of songwriters to popular music. An artist becomes eligible for induction 20 years following their first commercial release. Previously inducted members include icons such as Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, and Carole King.

The class of 2026 inductees will be announced in early 2026, continuing the tradition of celebrating the art of songwriting.
