Kostas Smoriginas was born in 1953 in Kaunas, Lithuania. He attended Kaunas 19th Primary School and continued his education at Kaunas 6th Secondary School from 1960 to 1971. His passion for the arts led him to the State Conservatory, where he studied from 1971 to 1975 under esteemed instructors Dalia Tamulevičiūtė and Irena Bučienė.
