Coaching Leadership
Wes Miller, in his fifth season as head coach, aims to elevate the Bearcats’ performance within the Big 12 Conference. At just 42, Miller brings 14 years of head coaching experience to the team. Previously, he spent a decade at UNC Greensboro, achieving five consecutive seasons with over 20 wins and participating in the NCAA Tournaments in 2018 and 2021.
Successful Season Openers
Under Miller’s guidance, Cincinnati has secured victories in all four of its home season openers. The Bearcats have displayed dominating performances, with an average victory margin exceeding 32 points. Last year, they defeated Arkansas-Pine Bluff 109-54. Other recent season openers include a 69-58 win against UIC in 2023, a 98-55 victory over Chaminade in 2022, and a 65-43 win against Evansville in 2021.
New Additions to the Roster
The Bearcats welcome six scholarship transfers this season: Jalen Celestine, Sencire Harris, Jalen Haynes, Kerr Kriisa, Baba Miller, and Moustapha Thiam. Collectively, these players contribute an average of 80 career games played at the college level.
