Netflix House Launches, Bridging Streaming and Real-World Experiences

Netflix has officially launched its first major physical attraction, Netflix House, in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. This marks the streaming giant’s significant venture into the real-world entertainment market.

Netflix House: An Immersive Experience

Located in a mall that once housed a Lord & Taylor department store, Netflix House spans 100,000 square feet. The attraction features various immersive experiences based on popular Netflix shows, including:

  • Wednesday
  • Stranger Things
  • One Piece
  • Squid Game
  • Bridgerton

Visitors can enjoy themed food and beverages at the Netflix Bites eatery, along with a sizable gift shop. Admission to the venue is free, allowing guests to shop and dine at their leisure. However, guests can pay for enhanced experiences, which include:

  • 60-minute themed adventures starting at $39 per person
  • Virtual reality experiences for $25
  • Mini-golf for $15

Entertainment and Events

Netflix House will operate year-round, seven days a week. The venue includes a 229-seat movie theater for various screenings, premieres, and live sports events. This adds another layer to the overall experience visitors can expect.

Community and Economic Impact

Netflix aims to make this attraction a local and tourist hotspot. Co-CEO Greg Peters highlighted the potential for increased foot traffic and engagement with the surrounding community. He stated that Netflix House would encourage visitors to explore local restaurants and hotels.

Future Expansion Plans

The King of Prussia venue is just the beginning, with two more Netflix Houses planned in the U.S. The next location will open in Dallas in the coming month, followed by a third in Las Vegas in 2027. This strategy mirrors successful elements from Disney’s theme parks.

Netflix’s Shift into Physical Attractions

Previously, Netflix has experimented with over 40 limited-time in-person experiences tied to its shows and movies. However, Netflix House marks the first permanent, evolving entertainment venue that the company has developed.

Despite its ambitious expansion, Netflix faced a recent slump in its stock performance, trading below its moving averages. Nevertheless, the company continues to innovate and draw fans into the world of Netflix through these unique real-world experiences.
