Charli XCX worked closely with Finn Keane, also known as Easyfun, for the production of Wuthering Heights. The creative process was heavily influenced by Todd Haynes’ documentary about the Velvet Underground. Charli XCX mentioned a particular quote from John Cale that guided their songwriting, emphasizing the need for their music to be both “elegant and brutal.”
