WinterFest Returns: Ice Skating, Holiday Movies at Plaza Theatre in November

El Paso’s beloved WinterFest is set to return this November, bringing together two cherished traditions: ice skating and holiday movies.

Ice Skating at The Rink

The ice skating rink will open at the El Paso Convention Center Plaza on Saturday, November 22. General admission is priced at $12, which includes skate rental. Special passes and group rates are available at EPWinterFest.com.

Event Highlights

This season promises an exciting lineup of themed nights at the rink:

  • Mommy & Me Mondays: Kids aged 10 and under skate for just $5.
  • Two for 20 Tuesdays: Purchase two tickets for $20.
  • Wacky Wednesdays: Wear wacky holiday attire for a $2 discount.
  • Touchdown Thursdays: Show your team spirit with a jersey for a $2 discount.
  • Friday “The Rink Rewind”: Enjoy hits from the 2000s all night.

Additionally, MCAD The Market will operate from 5 to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, offering more fun activities.

Special Nights at The Rink

  • Sweethearts Night: December 19, 5 to 11 p.m.

Holiday Movies at the Plaza Theatre

The Holiday Movies at the Plaza Theatre will commence on November 30. This free movie series is part of El Paso WinterFest and features six classic films, with the first showing of Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” starting at 3 p.m.
