Weather Disruptions at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport
The inclement weather has led to operational disruptions at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. The FAA implemented a temporary ground stop for incoming flights but lifted it just before 6 p.m. by which time, delays were averaging 15 minutes for departing flights from Phoenix as of 5:30 p.m.
Power Outages and Flood Warnings
Power outages also affected many residents, with over 5,500 customers of SRP without electricity, primarily in Glendale and west Phoenix. Additionally, less than 400 APS customers were affected.
