Jessica Simpson Reveals Ashton Kutcher’s Reaction to Her Virginity Disclosure
Jessica Simpson recently reflected on a memorable exchange with Ashton Kutcher regarding her virginity. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she recalled how the actor reacted when she shared her status at 22 years old. His immediate response was a simple, “Why?”
Jessica and Ashton: A Memorable Moment
In 2002, on the set of the popular show “That ’70s Show,” Simpson played Annette, a love interest of Kutcher’s character, Michael Kelso. At that time, she described herself as “very innocent” and focused on her career rather than others’ personal lives. Simpson stated, “I was just shooting a scene with Ashton and I told him that we couldn’t do it because I was a virgin.”
A Coincidence on Screen
Interestingly, during their show, Kutcher’s character had a similar conversation about virginity. His character’s line was, “What?” This prompted a humorous recovery where he said, “A coincidence. Me too.” Simpson recounted her laughter from the moment when she watched the clip during her interview.
She emphasized her perspective on virginity, explaining, “I’ve always been open… legs crossed, but open.” For Simpson, her choice to remain abstinent before marriage was significant. In a prior interview, she declared, “My virginity is something I stand strong in.”
Personal Growth and Relationships
Following her marriage to Nick Lachey in October 2002, where she upheld her decision for purity, Simpson continued to embrace her values. She expressed that virginity, while challenging, can also be “cool and sexy.”
Simpson and Lachey divorced in 2005. As of this year, she officially parted ways with her ex-husband Eric Johnson, with whom she shares three children: Maxwell, 13, Ace, 12, and Birdie, 6.
Ashton Kutcher’s representative has not commented on this recent revelation from Simpson. However, the fond memories of their youth and their exchange about virginity remain a topic of interest among fans.
