CBS has unveiled the full trailer for “Y: Marshals,” the much-anticipated spinoff of the hit series “Yellowstone.” The new show is set to premiere on March 1, 2026, and will feature Luke Grimes returning as Kayce Dutton.

The trailer opens with Kayce reflecting on his past struggles. He states, “I fought every day to get out from under the weight of the Yellowstone. I’ve lost my teammates, my parents, even my brothers. I know sometimes good men have to do bad things. But I’m trying to find a new beginning.”

Plot Overview

The show’s logline indicates that Dutton moves beyond his old life. He joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals, where he will leverage his experience as both a cowboy and a Navy SEAL to deliver justice in Montana.

Behind the Scenes

“Y: Marshals” was officially ordered by CBS in May for the 2025-2026 broadcast season. Spencer Hudnut is writing the initial episode and serving as executive producer and showrunner. Greg Yaitanes is set to direct the premiere episode.

Taylor Sheridan, the creator of “Yellowstone,” is also an executive producer alongside David C. Glasser for 101 Studios, as well as John Linson, Art Linson, Grimes, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Michael Friedman, and Keith Cox. The series will be produced by Paramount Television Studios and distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
