October emerged as the most active month of the year, achieving a significant milestone of 714.7 thousand tons handled, reflecting the port’s ongoing growth trajectory.

Christiano Lopes, the President of SCPAR Porto de Imbituba, highlighted the port’s strategic importance for Santa Catarina. He emphasized that the solid results signal effective planning, governance, and technology initiatives that enhance operational efficiency.

Looking Forward

October solidified its position as the busiest month of 2025, servicing 27 vessels. If this pace is sustained, the port may exceed 7 million tons by year-end. Nationally, Porto de Imbituba is recognized for its operational efficiency and logistical predictability, attracting new operators and cementing its role in southern Brazil’s port corridor.

Moreover, the port facilitated over $1.44 billion in foreign trade activities between January and October, underscoring its crucial role in the commercial landscape of Santa Catarina, according to data from the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce, and Services (MDIC).
