Selection Process for the Class of 2026
The selection process for the Pro Football Hall of Fame follows a rigorous procedure. Initially, 128 nominees were revealed in September 2023. A dedicated screening committee, which features several Hall of Fame enshrinees, narrowed this list to 52 candidates in October.
Voting and Finalists
The full Selection Committee will soon hold another vote. This will reduce the semifinalists to 15 Finalists by the end of this year. Additional voting occurred within other categories, such as Coach, Contributor, and Seniors.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2026 will be announced during the “NFL Honors” ceremony in San Francisco this February. The official enshrinement will take place in August in Canton, Ohio.
