Chicago Thanksgiving Parade 2025: Schedule, Route, and Road Closures

This year’s event will feature a variety of attractions, including giant balloons and vibrant floats. Iconic characters like Garfield, Rudolph, and the Grinch will greet attendees. Schedule and Route
The Chicago Thanksgiving Parade is scheduled to begin at 8 AM and will continue until 11 AM. The procession will commence at Ida B. Wells Drive, proceeding north on State Street, and concluding at Randolph Street.
Viewing the Parade
Attendance at the parade is free for everyone. Ideal locations for viewing include the east and west ends of State Street. For those seeking a premium experience, VIP tickets are available, granting access to a designated viewing area with bleacher seating at 111 N State St.
Road Closures
To facilitate the event, several road closures will be implemented:
- Roosevelt Road to Wacker Drive
- Wells Street to Michigan Avenue
These streets will be closed from approximately 5 AM to 2 PM on the day of the parade.
