The 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade took place in New York City on November 27, 2025. The event attracted approximately 3.5 million spectators who gathered to witness a vibrant display of balloons, floats, marching bands, and performances.
Hoda Kotb Returns to the Parade
This year’s parade featured the return of Hoda Kotb as one of the hosts. Kotb, who left the Today show earlier this year after a distinguished 26-year career at NBC News, received a warm welcome from her colleagues Savannah Guthrie and Al Roker. Guthrie expressed her happiness saying, “It’s so good to have you back where you belong.” The heartfelt moment marked a reunion for the Today team.

The parade commenced at West 77th Street and Central Park West, making its way past several iconic locations before concluding at Herald Square. This year featured an array of over 70 participants:

Singer and Broadway star Cynthia Erivo commenced the event with a captivating rendition of “Feeling Good,” alongside the Rockettes.
