Arriving on Thursday morning, Beppi shared his excitement, saying, “We were very curious to visit New Orleans,” praising the city for its hospitality and the allure of the parade.

Local and National Visitors Unite

Not all attendees traveled internationally. Amari and Deanna Baham came from Mandeville, Louisiana. Amari, a student at Southern University, expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to showcase her school during the weekend. “It’s great to see my school really just be able to show what we’re known for,” she said.

Marlee Millett from Utah tried alligator for the first time. “I thought this is going to be awful,” she remarked, pleasantly surprised by the dish’s taste. Robert Baker, who visited from Seattle, noted that he and his wife had already enjoyed several local restaurants during their trip.
