Additionally, USC signed four players who are the top recruits in their respective home states. These players include Wafle from New Jersey, Hill from Ohio, four-star quarterback Jonas Williams from Illinois, and four-star linebacker Talanoa Ili from Hawaii.
Vanderbilt’s Surprise Flip
In a significant twist, five-star quarterback Jared Curtis made headlines by flipping his commitment from Georgia to Vanderbilt. This Nashville native is now Vanderbilt’s first five-star recruit of the modern era.
Curtis had a complicated recruitment, initially committing to Georgia twice but ultimately deciding to take his talents to Vanderbilt.
Virginia Tech’s Surge Under New Leadership
Virginia Tech is experiencing a recruiting resurgence under new coach James Franklin. The Hokies have already signed seven blue-chip players, including a notable flip from Penn State. Franklin’s ability to attract talent has positioned Virginia Tech well within the top 25 classes.
