Reddit Outage: Worldwide Reports Surge—Verify Current Status Now

Reddit is currently experiencing a worldwide outage, impacting users across multiple regions. Downdetector has reported over 250 complaints regarding access issues, with peak reports documented at approximately 3:55 PM.

Current Status of Reddit Outage

According to Downdetector’s findings, user complaints breakdown as follows:

  • 48% report issues with the Reddit website.
  • 42% are facing problems with the Reddit app.
  • 10% encounter server connection difficulties.

Despite these complaints, the official Reddit status page indicates no ongoing issues with either the website or app at this time.

Recent Outage Patterns

This is not the first incident of its kind. The past few months have seen multiple significant outages affecting various platforms. However, this latest disruption does not appear to reflect a wider trend.

For example, Cloudflare recently experienced an outage that impacted numerous websites. On December 5, a failure at Cloudflare resulted in many popular platforms going offline, including:

  • Zerodha
  • Angel One
  • Groww
  • HSBC
  • Deliveroo

Users encountered a “500 Internal Server Error” during this event. Prior to this, Cloudflare had another outage last month, disrupting services such as X, Perplexity, ChatGPT, and Anthropic.

Additionally, an outage of Amazon Web Services (AWS) caused widespread disruption for over 15 hours. This affected platforms like Snapchat, Reddit, Slack, Canva, Fortnite, Lloyds Bank, and Amazon’s retail site in over 60 countries.

Microsoft also faced significant challenges with an outage in October, which lasted eight hours. This event disrupted services for Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Azure, and Xbox Live, affecting thousands of users’ workflows.

As users continue to seek information about the current status of the Reddit outage, it is essential to monitor official updates and platform responses.
