According to Downdetector’s findings, user complaints breakdown as follows:
- 48% report issues with the Reddit website.
- 42% are facing problems with the Reddit app.
- 10% encounter server connection difficulties.
Despite these complaints, the official Reddit status page indicates no ongoing issues with either the website or app at this time.
Recent Outage Patterns
This is not the first incident of its kind. The past few months have seen multiple significant outages affecting various platforms. However, this latest disruption does not appear to reflect a wider trend.
For example, Cloudflare recently experienced an outage that impacted numerous websites. On December 5, a failure at Cloudflare resulted in many popular platforms going offline, including:

Microsoft also faced significant challenges with an outage in October, which lasted eight hours. This event disrupted services for Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Azure, and Xbox Live, affecting thousands of users’ workflows.
