A violent incident involving Rayo Vallecano fans occurred in Poland ahead of their match against Jagiellonia Białystok. This attack took place early Thursday on the S8 route, near Prosienica.
Details of the Attack
Several Rayo Vallecano supporters were targeted as they made their way to the game. A group of masked individuals, armed with various weapons, executed a premeditated assault on the team’s buses.

Police Response

The attackers escaped through a cut fence leading to the S8 highway. Shortly after, Mazovia police arrested seven individuals, including one woman, all identified as Białystok residents.
Injuries Reported
Initial reports indicate that ten fans from Rayo Vallecano suffered injuries during the attack. Three of them required hospitalization, while others were treated by paramedics at a nearby gas station.
Context of the Violence
This violent behavior is not new to Polish football culture. Earlier this year, Jagiellonia Białystok fans similarly assaulted supporters of Belgian club Cercle Brugge.
