Thousands Gather in Delaware to Honor Fallen State Trooper
On a poignant Saturday in Delaware, thousands gathered to honor Trooper Matthew “Ty” Snook, a dedicated member of the Delaware State Police who tragically lost his life while on duty. His death occurred on December 23 while working at a Division of Motor Vehicles office.
Community Tribute and Support
Over a mile-long line of vehicles formed as around 3,500 cars displayed memorial stickers for Snook. He had served with the Delaware State Police for ten years, leaving behind a wife and a one-year-old daughter. The turnout signified the profound respect and admiration from the community.
Personal Accounts from Attendees
- Judi Enright from Newark, who arrived at 7:30 a.m. for the 9 a.m. event, expressed shock over Snook’s death, saying, “I was blindsided to be honest with you.”

Organized by the Blue Line Network
