Disney World Offers Free Water Park Access from May to September 2026
Disney has revealed an exciting summer water park benefit for 2026. Guests staying at the Walt Disney World Resort from May 26 to September 8 can enjoy free access to either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach on their check-in day. This offer enhances the experience and allows guests to make the most of their visit.
How the Water Park Benefit Works
The water park benefit provides admission to one Disney water park on the day of check-in. Guests can head to the park even before their rooms are ready. The entry is seamless through the use of MagicBands, MagicBand+, Disney MagicMobile passes, or the Key to the World Card.
Transportation to the Water Parks
- Bus Transportation: Free shuttle buses operate between Disney resorts and the water parks. Note that luggage is not permitted on these buses.
- Minnie Van Service: Guests can book rides via the Lyft app, but fees apply.
- Parking: Free parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis at the water parks.
Luggage Storage Options
Luggage cannot be taken into the water parks or on Disney buses. Here’s how guests can manage their belongings:
- At Your Resort Hotel: Guests can leave bags with Bell Services, which will deliver luggage to their room when ready.
- At the Water Park: Rent a keyless locker for essentials such as phones and smaller bags. A one-time daily charge applies.

Both water parks offer changing areas with showers, and life jackets can be rented for free. Complimentary towel rentals are available at designated areas.

- View Park Hours: Review the park calendar as your arrival date approaches. Note that only one water park may operate during refurbishment periods.
- Watch the Weather: Be aware that weather conditions can lead to park closures. Full-day closures are posted one day in advance, while same-day closures can occur unexpectedly.
