François Tremblay, a member of the CAQ and representing Dubuc, has been arrested for drunk driving. The incident occurred early Thursday morning in La Baie, Saguenay.
Details of the Arrest
The police apprehended Tremblay at approximately 1:25 AM. His vehicle became stuck in a snowbank following a minor collision with an object on the road. Law enforcement reported that Tremblay was inebriated, registering nearly double the legal blood alcohol concentration (BAC) limit.

In Canada, the legal BAC limit for driving is set at 0.08 g/100 ml of blood. Tremblay’s test results indicated that he was significantly above this threshold.

François Jacques, the Chief Whip of the government, issued a statement addressing the situation. He emphasized the seriousness of the matter and noted that all options are on the table. However, he confirmed that no decisions will be made until all facts are thoroughly reviewed.
