Forecast for the Upcoming Week
The third week promises pleasant weather, as described by CBS News Miami meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez. Here are the expected temperatures in Miami and Fort Lauderdale:
- Saturday: High of 82°F, Low of 70°F
- Sunday: High of 83°F, Low of 69°F
- Monday: High of 75°F, Low of 65°F
- Tuesday: High of 78°F, Low of 66°F
- Wednesday: High of 77°F, Low of 66°F
Monday’s temperatures may be slightly warmer than predicted, with a range of 65°F to 75°F. Although a cold front is forecasted to impact parts of Florida, Miami is unlikely to experience significant cold. Residents may only need light sweaters or sweatpants during the cooler morning and evening hours.
Future Temperature Trends
The next notable drop in temperatures is expected on January 16, when Miami could see morning lows of 55°F. This is considerably milder compared to the historic cold wave that occurred in January 2010, when lows dipped to as low as 35°F for days on end.

January is characterized as a dry month in South Florida. Rain chances remain low, with only a 20% chance on Sunday and a 30% chance later in the week linked to an incoming cold front, according to the National Weather Service.
