Game Day Updates
Each team held an optional morning skate today. Notably, Kris Letang’s status is uncertain due to an upper-body injury, and he missed practice yesterday. If he does not participate, St. Ivany could step in as his replacement.
Ilya Solovyov joined the Penguins’ practice but is not expected to be in the lineup for this match. He was recently acquired in a trade with the Colorado Avalanche.
Additionally, Pittsburgh made a roster adjustment by assigning forward Joona Koppanen to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in the AHL to accommodate Solovyov.
On the Flames’ side, Martin Pospisil will return to the ice after recovering from an undisclosed injury that sidelined him since October 1. He played two games in the AHL on a conditioning loan prior to his season debut.
