Amazon MGM has unveiled a trailer for the highly anticipated live-action film, “Masters of the Universe.” This adaptation brings Mattel’s iconic character He-Man to life, with Nicholas Galitzine starring as the valiant hero. The movie, directed by Travis Knight, continues the tale of He-Man’s quest to protect his planet, Eternia, from the malevolent Skeletor, played by Jared Leto.

Production Details
The film is a collaborative project produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Mattel Films, and Escape Artists. The production team includes Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, and Steve Tisch, who have been working on this project since 2010. Chris Butler penned the screenplay.
Development and Filming Timeline
After years of development, the film finally found its home at Amazon MGM in 2023. The announcement of Travis Knight as director and Chris Butler as screenwriter was made in February 2024. Principal photography began in January 2025 in London.
Theatrical Release
