Heart of Midlothian has announced the signing of Ugandan forward Rogers Mato during the current transfer window. Mato has joined the Jambos on an initial loan agreement from FK Vardar of North Macedonia. This arrangement lasts until the end of the season, pending international clearance and approval from the Scottish FA.

Upon the conclusion of his loan, Mato will begin a permanent three-year contract with Hearts, following the expiration of his contractual obligations with Vardar.
