Canada’s Achievements on Day 3 of Milano Cortina 2026

Freestyle Skiing Achievements
Megan Oldham secured a bronze medal in the women’s ski slopestyle event. After a challenging crash during her second run, she rebounded with a strong performance, scoring 76.46 points. This score held up against a fierce challenge from Great Britain’s Kirsty Muir, the reigning X Games champion. Naomi Urness, also competing for Canada, finished seventh with a score of 64.73 on her third run.
Long Track Speed Skating
In women’s 1000m speed skating, Béatrice Lamarche led the Canadian team, placing fifth with a time of 1:14.73. This marks Canada’s best Olympic performance in this event since the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. Canadian debutants Carolina Hiller-Donnelly and Rose Laliberté-Roy finished 26th and 27th, respectively.

Women’s Hockey Performance
Team Canada continued their strong showing with a 5-1 victory over Czechia, improving their record to 2-0 in the women’s hockey tournament. Julia Gosling led the scoresheet with two goals. The team prepares for a highly anticipated match against the United States on Tuesday at 2:10 p.m. ET.
Curling and Luge Recap
In curling, Jocelyn Peterman and Brett Gallant concluded their mixed doubles round-robin, defeating Switzerland 8-4. In luge, Trinity Ellis placed 15th, while fellow Olympian Embyr-Lee Susko finished 17th in the women’s singles event at the Cortina Sliding Centre.
Ski Jumping Results
Mackenzie Boyd-Clowes competed in the men’s individual normal hill ski jumping event, finishing in 45th place with 110.8 points. Only the top 30 advanced to the final round, but Boyd-Clowes made a notable return to competition this season after a lengthy hiatus.
