Reddit Unveils New Executive Leadership Team
Reddit has recently announced significant updates to its executive leadership team, reflecting its commitment to enhancing user experiences and community support. The company welcomed Amit Puntambekar as the new Executive Vice President of Consumer Engineering and promoted Jim Squires to Chief Marketing Officer, alongside Laura Nestler’s promotion to Executive Vice President of Community.

Amit Puntambekar: EVP of Consumer Engineering
Amit Puntambekar brings over ten years of experience in leadership roles, having previously worked with Atlassian and Meta. In his new position, Amit will be responsible for developing and executing consumer engineering strategies to enhance Reddit’s user experience.

Laura Nestler: EVP of Community
Laura Nestler, now EVP of Community, will continue to nurture Reddit’s community team. She has successfully transformed the team since 2021, focusing on initiatives that foster global community growth and sustainability. Under her guidance, Reddit sees around 121 million daily active users and over 100,000 communities thriving.
Jim Squires: Chief Marketing Officer
As Chief Marketing Officer, Jim Squires will oversee all business and consumer marketing strategies, including brand management, creative initiatives, and customer growth programs. His leadership has elevated Reddit’s marketing strategies, significantly contributing to user and advertiser growth.
Reddit COO, Jen Wong, noted that the promotion of Squires, along with Stephen Riad’s elevation to EVP of Advertising Sales last December, strengthens the leadership team. This strategic move aims to drive the platform towards an even more promising future.
