The following regional centers for education have announced closures:

- Halifax Regional Centre for Education
- South Shore Regional Centre for Education

University openings have also been affected. Dalhousie University, Saint Mary’s University, and Mount Saint Vincent University will delay their opening until 10 a.m. Meanwhile, St. Francis Xavier University is set to commence operations at 2 p.m.

Halifax Transit buses are now operating under dedicated snow routes to ensure safety during the storm. Furthermore, solid waste collection in the Halifax Regional Municipality has been postponed to February 26.
Environment Canada has issued yellow snowfall warnings for northern and eastern Nova Scotia, indicating that snow could persist in those regions throughout the day.
