In a series of critical medical flights, the Italian Air Force successfully transported two newborns from Cagliari to major hospitals in Milan and Rome. These lifesaving missions were conducted by the G650 aircraft from the 31st Wing stationed at Ciampino.

The initial flight took off from Ciampino airport and headed to Cagliari to collect the first infant, whose condition was rapidly deteriorating. The aircraft landed at Milan Linate Airport shortly before 3:00 PM, ensuring swift care for the newborn.
Once the first emergency procedures were completed, the crew quickly prepared for a second mission. They returned to Cagliari to pick up another infant. This flight concluded with a timely arrival at Rome’s Ciampino airport around 6:30 PM.
