Jean-Michel Anctil, a well-known comedian in Quebec, is set to make a grand return to the stage for his 60th birthday. After taking a break from solo performances since 2019, he will launch a new humor show in November 2026. This minitour will feature 60 dates, celebrating his milestone birthday with a series of performances titled “SURPRISE… c’est ma fête !”

Each performance will feature a surprise guest, adding a unique element to every show. Anctil collaborated with producer Mario Provencher to curate a roster of comedians he admires, ensuring that each night offers something special.
Creative Team and Preparations
For “SURPRISE… c’est ma fête !”, Anctil has enlisted the help of André Robitaille, a long-time collaborator, to direct the show. They will work together to enhance the performance with elements of theater, emphasizing the dynamic between humor and staging.
In conjunction with writers Simon Delisle and Sébastien Ouellet, Anctil explores themes related to time and celebrations, meeting weekly to refine the performance. He has begun testing some of the material in smaller comedy venues and will finalize the complete show in August 2026 at Repentigny.
