Traffic Management Details

Specific times for road changes have been set. Heidenheim Drive will undergo full closure from 6 AM to 9:30 AM. After this, a single lane will remain closed until noon.

To manage flow, runners not reaching the 9-mile mark at Sainsbury’s by midday will be required to move to the pavements. This change enables local traffic to return at lunchtime.

Community Support and Anticipated Disruptions

The local community is urged to support the marathon. Organizers anticipate disruptions will last only as long as it takes for the runners to pass through each area. This collaborative spirit ensures a successful event while keeping the impact on daily life minimal.

Residents are encouraged to plan their journeys accordingly and be prepared for changes on the marathon day. Proper planning will ensure that the Newport Half Marathon is a memorable experience for participants and the community alike.
