SNL Tonight: Last Night Was Connor Storrie and Mumford & Sons — Ryan Gosling and Gorillaz Are Next Saturday
Saturday Night Live Season 51 aired its first post-Winter Olympics episode last night, Saturday, February 28, 2026. If you missed it, here is your complete SNL recap — plus everything coming up next in what may be the hottest three-week SNL stretch in years.
Last Night's SNL: Connor Storrie Hosts for the First Time — Mumford & Sons Return
Heated Rivalry star Connor Storrie made his debut as host alongside Mumford & Sons, making their fourth appearance on SNL as musical guest. Storrie is the star of Canadian hockey TV series Heated Rivalry, which had already received the parody treatment during Finn Wolfhard's earlier episode. Saturday Night Live returned from its Winter Olympics hiatus for this episode, with the show kicking off at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
Storrie had paid a visit to 30 Rock in mid-January to appear on Late Night with Seth Meyers, and his costar Hudson Williams wrote "MY BABY BOY ON SNL WHOOOOOO!!!!" on Instagram after the episode was announced. Early reviews describe Storrie as charming and likeable, with Mumford & Sons delivering one of the more emotionally charged musical performances of Season 51 to date.
SNL Season 51 Coming Up — The Next Three Weeks Are Must-Watch Television
The schedule coming up is extraordinarily stacked. Ryan Gosling will host for the fourth time on March 7, with musical guest Gorillaz performing for the first time on the show. On March 14, Harry Styles will pull double duty as host and musical guest for the second time — he first did so in 2019.
Styles' fourth solo studio album Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally is due March 6 — giving audiences a full week to absorb the new music before he performs two tracks live at Studio 8H. Styles kicks off his Together, Together tour this spring. His upcoming SNL hosting stint will technically be his seventh time on the show if you count his cameo in a Season 46 cold open, having appeared three times as a member of One Direction in 2012, 2013, and 2014 before going solo.
SNL Season 51 — Full Schedule So Far
The complete Season 51 SNL lineup to date runs as follows: October 4 — Bad Bunny, Doja Cat. December 13 — Josh O'Connor, Lily Allen. December 20 — Ariana Grande, Cher. January 17 — Finn Wolfhard, A$AP Rocky. January 24 — Teyana Taylor, Geese. January 31 — Alexander Skarsgård, Cardi B. February 28 — Connor Storrie, Mumford & Sons. March 7 — Ryan Gosling, Gorillaz. SNL's 1,000th Episode Was a Family Affair
The season reached a milestone on January 31, 2026 — airing its 1,000th episode with host Alexander Skarsgård and musical guest Cardi B. Skarsgård was joined by his father Stellan Skarsgård, making it a full family affair for the landmark episode. The milestone night drew some of the season's strongest overnight ratings and generated a wave of nostalgia content across social media.
