During the awards ceremony, Rogen shared an emotional story highlighting O’Hara’s dedication to her craft. He revealed that before shooting days, she often sent him and co-creator Evan Goldberg emails proposing rewrites for her scenes. Rogen stated, “Pretty much every evening… she would email me and Evan an email that always was pretty similar.”

Impact on The Studio

O’Hara portrayed Patty Leigh in the Apple TV+ series “The Studio,” a character inspired by former Sony Pictures head Amy Pascal. Rogen noted that her rewrites consistently improved the quality of her character, as well as enhancing the overall show. “She really showed that you can be a genius and be kind,” Rogen remarked, marking her unique blend of creativity and kindness.

A Heartfelt Loss

O’Hara was not only a key figure in “The Studio,” but she also starred in the hit series “Schitt’s Creek” and played memorable roles in films such as “Best in Show” and the “Home Alone” series. She was set to feature in Season 2 of “The Studio” before her untimely passing.
