Search Launched for Victims of Former Caregiver
The Montreal Police Service’s Sexual Assault Unit is actively seeking additional victims of Abdelaali Laaziz, a caregiver recently charged with sexual assault against a vulnerable individual. The alleged incidents occurred in December 2025 while Laaziz worked as a caregiver at Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital.

Abdelaali Laaziz, age 49, is accused of exploiting his position to initiate sexual acts while administering care. He reportedly administered unnecessary or unapproved treatments to patients in an effort to facilitate these acts.

Laaziz made his first court appearance on February 12 at the Montreal Courthouse. After his hearing, he was released, with a subsequent court date scheduled for April 23.
