Devin Booker cleared: Suns remove him from injury report ahead of Kings matchup

devin booker is off the Phoenix Suns’ injury report as of 6: 13 PM ET on March 3, 2026, setting the stage for his return ahead of Tuesday night’s game against the Sacramento Kings in Sacramento. Injury report shift puts Devin Booker back in play

The Suns listed Devin Booker available after a stretch of four missed games due to a right hip strain. Head coach Jordan Ott said Monday that Booker was in “a good spot” after getting 5-on-5 basketball work with some of Phoenix’s rotation players on Sunday.

Booker previously missed seven games in late January and early February with a sprained ankle, but he is now cleared for this next step toward game action. This season, Devin Booker has led the Suns in scoring at 24. 7 points per game, while also averaging 6. 1 assists and 3. 9 rebounds, with 45. 4% shooting.

Ott on Devin Booker’s recovery, plus Goodwin’s timeline

Ott emphasized that Booker’s readiness is rooted in the guard’s experience managing his body through the rehab process.

“He knows his body better than anyone, ” Jordan Ott said. “He’s been through these processes. Incredible recovery. So, he knows how he’s supposed to feel. How he’s supposed to feel when he plays. ”

Ott also provided an update on Jordan Goodwin, who remains out with a left calf strain. Goodwin is expected to be reevaluated within the next week, with Ott noting the guard is ramping up on the court while Booker is further along.

For Phoenix, the injury list still includes Dillon Brooks (left hand fracture) and Goodwin (left calf strain), both remaining out.

Highsmith expected to debut; Maluach available

Highsmith, who signed with the Suns last month, is expected to make his season debut after working back from surgery on a torn meniscus in his right knee in August 2025. He is now off the injury report for Tuesday.

Phoenix also has Khaman Maluach available after he was previously listed as questionable with a right thumb sprain.

Kings’ absences stack up ahead of Tuesday night

Sacramento enters the matchup with multiple key players out, including long-term absences: Zach LaVine (finger tendon repair), Domantas Sabonis (meniscus repair), and De’Andre Hunter (retinal repair).

The Kings are also without starting forward Keegan Murray (ankle sprain) and rookie big man Dylan Cardwell (ankle sprain).
