have appealed for witnesses after a fracas involving around 20 people on Mitchell’s Road in Tralee left one woman seriously injured and at least five others with minor stab and cut injuries. The row broke out in a house at 10.50pm on Sunday, then spilled out onto the road.

The woman who was struck by a car was taken to with injuries described as serious but not life-threatening. A woman in her 40s was arrested at the scene and taken to , where she was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act for up to 24 hours.

The burst of violence lasted less than ten minutes, but it drew a large Garda response. Officers from the based in Limerick attended to help restore calm as emergency services dealt with the injured and officers secured the scene.

Gardaí believe the row broke out between visitors to the property and local residents in the Mitchell’s Road area. After the incident, investigators seized a vehicle they believe was involved when the woman was struck, while garda technical officers carried out a forensic examination and canvassed the area for CCTV footage.

The appeal now is focused on anyone who was in the area between 10.30pm and 10.50pm on Sunday and saw what happened. That window matters because gardaí say the dispute moved from a house fight to the road in minutes, and the vehicle involved remains a central part of the inquiry.
