Arianna Roberson Sits With Cooper Flagg's Family At Tuesday Press Conference

Arianna Roberson drew attention on Tuesday when fans spotted her sitting with Cooper Flagg's family during his Rookie of the Year press conference. The sighting added fresh fuel to a rumor that has followed the pair after earlier public appearances together.

Flagg's rookie numbers

Flagg used the press conference to revisit a rookie season built on production. He averaged 21.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.9 blocks per game in 70 games during his 2025-26 rookie campaign.

That line is part of why the event carried weight beyond the usual award setting. Flagg became the first rookie since Michael Jordan in 1984-85 to lead his team in points, rebounds, assists and steals, a rare all-around mark that put him at the center of the conversation before Roberson ever entered the frame.

Roberson at Duke

Roberson is a Duke Blue Devils women's basketball player and a 6-foot-4 center who was ranked as the No. 17 recruit in her class by. She arrived at Duke after a decorated run at Clark High School in San Antonio, Texas, where she was a McDonald's All-American and a Nike Hoop Summit selection.

Her path has not been smooth. Roberson missed her 2024-25 campaign at Duke because of an ankle injury, then returned this season and is averaging 8.0 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. She is also the youngest of seven siblings who are all athletes, and her brother Andre had a successful NBA career, primarily with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Repeated sightings

The Tuesday appearance did not come out of nowhere. In February 2026, Flagg was seen sitting next to Roberson at a Duke game, and they were chatting and discussing a stat sheet.

That string of public sightings is what kept the rumor alive, even though the relationship between Flagg and Roberson has not been officially confirmed. For now, the story sits on the same table as the press conference itself: a major basketball moment, a familiar seat beside his family, and another public glimpse that sent fans looking twice.
