Jadon Sancho Draws Initial Enquiries From Italian Club
Jadon Sancho is drawing interest from Italy as an unnamed club has made initial enquiries over a summer move. The Aston Villa loanee is approaching the end of his season-long spell, while his Manchester United contract is due to run out this summer and leave him free to move without a fee.
Sancho Attracts Italian Interest
The new contact adds another club to a transfer picture that already included Aston Villa and Borussia Dortmund. Sancho is currently on loan at Villa Park from Manchester United, and his temporary deal is set to expire at the end of the season.
That leaves the winger in a position where a decision can arrive quickly once the season closes. A permanent stay at Villa has been discussed, and a return to Dortmund remains on the table as well.
Dortmund Still Watching Sancho
Earlier this month, Lars Ricken said Borussia Dortmund were considering making a transfer offer. He said, “We’re currently looking at a lot of players and analysing them closely.”
Ricken added, “We check whether they can make us better. We’re doing that with Jadon as well.” The comments keep Dortmund in the frame while the Italian enquiry shows Sancho is not short of options as the summer window approaches.
Villa Face Competition
Unai Emery has said he is open to the possibility of trying to keep Sancho on a permanent deal. But Villa are now competing with interest from Italy and the pull of Dortmund, where he has already been linked with a return.
The practical issue is simple: once his Manchester United deal ends this summer, Sancho becomes a free agent. That turns the race into a straight battle for his next contract rather than a transfer fee, and it gives any club willing to move first a clearer path to a deal.
