USGS Reports 3.3 Quake Near Redlands — Earthquake Redlands

The U.S. Geological Survey reported a 3.3-magnitude earthquake redlands area on Wednesday morning at 9:45 a.m. The epicenter sat on the border of San Bernardino and Riverside counties, about 4 miles northwest of Loma Linda, at a depth of just over two miles.

The quake’s location put the shaking close to the county line rather than deep inside one city, and that matched the reports that followed. The USGS placed the epicenter just over two miles below the surface, a shallow depth that left the tremor noticeable across a wider area.

Ontario To Downey

People reported feeling the earthquake in Ontario and Perris, with additional reports from Orange and Downey. The USGS “Did You Feel It?” page collected those accounts, showing that the shaking reached well beyond Redlands itself.

Anna Segura posted on Facebook, “I felt it too!” She also wrote, “It was pretty strong in Riverside from the Redlands area, definitely a surprise.” Her comments tracked the broader reach seen in the public reports.

Wednesday Morning Reports

There were no immediate reports of injuries or structural damage. For people across the affected cities, the practical next step is to watch for updated USGS reports and local official notices if anything changes after the morning shaking.
