Sky Sports to Carry World Sevens Football From Gtech Community Stadium — Live Football

Sky Sports will show live football from the women’s World Sevens Football tournament at Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium from May 28-30. It will be the first time the competition is hosted in England, with all matches available in the UK through Sky Sports and NOW.

The three-day event is the third edition of the seven-a-side competition and will feature eight Barclays Women’s Super League clubs. Adult tickets start at £17, with passes sold for individual days or as a three-day package.

Gtech Community Stadium staging

Brentford’s stadium gives the tournament a Premier League venue for its UK broadcast debut. Sky Sports will run a presentation team on-site, adding live coverage around a format built to move quickly through a compact schedule.

Gary Hughes said: "We're proud to be the unrivalled home of football in the UK and Ireland, with a long-standing commitment to investing in and growing women's sport. This partnership with World Sevens Football builds on the momentum of a record WSL season, which saw more live matches than ever before on Sky Sports. It delivers a fresh, fast-paced format that blends elite competition with entertainment and gives fans another exciting opportunity to watch the league's biggest stars before the summer break."

Eight WSL clubs involved

The confirmed teams include Aston Villa Women, Everton Women, London City Lionesses, Manchester United Women, Tottenham Hotspur Women and West Ham United Women, with two more clubs still to be announced. Fans can follow tournament news across SkySports.com, the app, social channels and a dedicated WSL YouTube channel.

Sarah Cummins said: "Partnering with Sky Sports to bring the World Sevens Football London Edition to fans across the UK and Ireland is a major milestone for us. From day one, our ambition has been to reimagine how women's football is experienced, making it faster, closer, and more entertaining while showcasing the incredible depth of talent in the game. Having every match broadcast live on Sky and NOW ensures we can reach more fans than ever before and continue building a global platform for the sport and its players."

Sky Sports reach

The broadcast comes after a landmark WSL season on Sky Sports, which has a five-year rights deal for the league and shows 90 per cent of all WSL matches each season. Sky Sports also showed coverage of every game on the final day on 16 May, and the WSL will expand to 14 teams from the 2026/27 season.

For fans, the practical change is simple: every match from the London edition will be on Sky Sports and NOW, with tickets already on general sale at worldsevens.com. The tournament arrives with a live TV package, on-site presentation, and a field still waiting on two final clubs, so the full lineup will sharpen as the event gets closer.
