Riley Green Joins The Voice Season 30 Coaches Lineup
Riley Green joined the voice season 30 coaches on May 9, adding a country voice to NBC’s fall panel. He made the announcement on social media ahead of a concert at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre in Alpharetta, Georgia, while he is still out on his Cowboy As It Gets arena tour across North America.
Green wrote, "I guess y’all can start calling me coach… see ya this fall. @nbcthevoice #thevoice" in his Instagram post. Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine had already been named for the season 30 coaching lineup, so Green’s arrival completes a three-name group that leans more heavily into established hitmakers than a typical reshuffle.
Clarkson and Levine return
Clarkson’s voicemail message to Green was part welcome and part warning. She told him, "I’m super stoked to coach alongside you." She also added, "I think you’re gonna need the practice because Kelly’s gonna whoop that ass," while Carson Daly chimed in with, "Welcome to the fam!! Can’t wait to hang! You drink right? Pls God say yes."
Season 29 ended in April 2025 with Adam Levine’s contestant Alexia Jayy taking the win, giving Levine an immediate bit of momentum heading into the next cycle. That result matters here because the season 30 coaching table is not just being refreshed; it is being assembled around a coach who already has a recent champion on his side of the ledger.
Green’s country credentials
Green brings four No. 1 hits on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart and multiple CMA and ACM Awards to the chair. He also made his acting debut in April on the CBS series Marshals, which gives him a broader public profile as he steps into a role that depends on performance instincts as much as brand recognition.
He is 37, scheduled to perform at the ACM Awards on May 17, and nominated there for male artist of the year, album of the year, artist-songwriter of the year, and music event of the year. That puts him in the middle of a busy stretch before the NBC season even airs.
Fall on NBC and Peacock
The Voice season 30 will air this fall on NBC and stream on Peacock. For viewers, the practical change is simple: the next cycle will have a country star in the coach mix alongside Clarkson and Levine, so the battle rounds and mentoring dynamic are set to look different from the last season’s setup.
