Crimson Desert Update Patch Notes Add Seven New Mounts

Crimson Desert update patch notes added seven new mounts, a dog-attack ability through the Sigil of Valor, and a Smithy system that lets players recover upgrade materials. The patch also fixes a long-running issue tied to Abyss Artifact skill points, giving players a cleaner way to shift materials into new builds.

Seven mounts in Crimson Desert

Seven new mounts can now be tamed and registered: Mountain Goats, Kuku Birds, Iguanas, Raptors, Camels, Lions and Tigers. Ferocious animals must be subdued and fed before they can join the stable, and special saddles are now being sold for all mount types.

That expands traversal choices without forcing players to stick with one ride. If someone wants a faster path across open ground or a different approach to terrain, the update gives them a broader stable to work with.

Smithy recovery and Abyss Artifacts

The Smithy now returns 70% of common materials invested in upgraded items when players recover them for use elsewhere. Abyss Artifacts and Aeserion’s scale return the full item for each rank, and six Abyss Artifacts are needed to upgrade a single piece of gear.

That makes the patch more than a cosmetic or convenience update. Players who have been sitting on spare gear, or who want to redirect resources into an alternate setup, now have a way to pull value back out of earlier upgrades instead of starting over from scratch.

Sigil of Valor and Oonkga

The Sigil of Valor adds a dog that attacks enemies, while new unarmed combat skills were added for Oonkga. Kliff can now wear some of Oongka’s outfits, and players can hide weapon sheaths as well as weapons.

Those are small systems on their own, but they tighten how the game handles identity, loadout, and presentation. The patch also gives the Laughing Marionette new decorative items, special headgear, Abyss Artifacts and Abyss Gears, while one fish vendor no longer buys things for more money than everyone else.

Over the last two months, Crimson Desert has kept layering in major changes rather than waiting for one giant overhaul. This patch leans into practical player choice: more mounts, a salvage path for upgrade materials, and combat tools that let players experiment without locking themselves into a single build.
