Discord Nitro Xbox Game Pass adds starter edition for subscribers
Discord Nitro subscribers began getting discord nitro xbox game pass on Monday. The starter edition adds more than 50 Xbox and PC games to download and play, plus 10 hours of cloud gaming streaming every month. The subscription price stays at $10 a month or $100 for a year.

Discord and Xbox announced the partnership on Monday. Discord said, "Your Nitro membership is still the same price, and Game Pass is now part of it," which turns a chat subscription into a bundle with a game library attached.
The included games range from DayZ and Deep Rock Galactic to Fallout 4, Grounded, Overcooked 2, and Stardew Valley. For Nitro users who already pay for custom per-server profiles, larger file uploads, and custom emojis, the new add-on changes what the monthly fee covers without changing the bill.

The timing lands during a busy 2026 for Xbox and Game Pass. New CEO Asha Sharma wrote on X, "Game Pass Ultimate has become too expensive for too many players," and Game Pass also got cheaper in 2026.
That puts the Nitro tie-in in a practical light. Discord is giving subscribers access to a starter version of Game Pass while Xbox is trying to reset how players view the service after a year of price and product changes.

Discord has also been dealing with its own changes. It announced a controversial age-verification plan in February and later said it would delay the changes to later in 2026.
