Tamara Živković Pushes Montenegro Toward Eurovision 2025 Breakthrough

Montenegro enters eurovision 2025 with Tamara Živković’s Nova Zora carrying the country’s best qualification case in years. The draw is simple: Montenegro has reached the Grand Final only twice, and this run could make it three.

Tamara Živković and Nova Zora

Živković won Montesong 2025 late last year with Nova Zora, then returned with a revamped version that many Eurovision fans see as more polished and competitive. That shift has kept Montenegro in the conversation even though it still starts from the weakest qualification record of any current nation.

In the first semi-final, Montenegro will perform 8th. Eurovisionworld.com placed the country 10th among the most likely acts to advance, with a 52% chance of qualifying, while Živković finished 12th in a press poll after a dress rehearsal and received six points.

Sergej Ćetković and Knez

Montenegro’s only previous Grand Final appearances came in 2014 and 2015. Sergej Ćetković took Moj svijet through in 2014 and finished 19th, then Knez qualified again in 2015 with Adio and placed 13th in the Grand Final.

That record leaves Montenegro chasing a rare reset. A third qualification would end a long drought and give the broadcaster a result it has not managed since Knez’s run a decade ago.

Eight Spot, Real Pressure

The 8th running order slot gives Živković a clear path to gather votes early, but the 52% forecast and 10th-place ranking also show how narrow the margin is. Serbia and Croatia could matter if regional support breaks Montenegro’s way, yet the dress-rehearsal poll suggests the race remains tight.

For Montenegro, eurovision 2025 is not just another semi-final slot. It is a shot at escaping the worst qualification record in the field, and Nova Zora now has to turn goodwill into enough points to finish inside the top 10.
