IHeartMedia Brings 104 FIFA World Cup 2026 Matches to Iheartradio
FOX Sports and iHeartMedia will put all 104 FIFA World Cup 2026 matches on iheartradio, starting with the opening match on Thursday, June 11 and running through the final on Sunday, July 19. The deal folds live tournament coverage into iHeartMedia’s broadcast and digital audio reach, with every U.S. Men’s National Team match and the final also set for more than 100 iHeart broadcast stations.
Tom Poleman, iHeartMedia’s chief programming officer, said, “This partnership allows us to deliver complete, live coverage at an unprecedented scale, reaching fans wherever they are — at home, in the car or on the go — and connecting them to the passion and unforgettable moments of the World Cup.” That scale matters because the app reaches more than 500 platforms and over 2,000 devices, turning one rights deal into a wide distribution play.
June 11 to July 19
The coverage window starts with the tournament opener on Thursday, June 11 and closes with the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final on Sunday, July 19. FOX Sports will provide English-language broadcasts of all 104 matches, giving iHeartRadio listeners a full tournament feed rather than a few marquee games.
Bill Wanger, executive vice president and head of programming and scheduling at FOX Sports, said, “With the biggest FIFA World Cup™ in tournament history right around the corner and taking place across the country, we’re excited to work with iHeartMedia to extend our FOX Sports match commentary even further through the #1 audio company in America.” FOX Sports’ placement on more than 100 FOX Sports Radio affiliates nationwide extends the same commentary beyond the app.
U.S. Men’s National Team Dates
The U.S. Men’s National Team gets the clearest domestic lane in the package. Its first Group D game is Friday, June 12 against Paraguay from Los Angeles at 9:00 PM ET, followed by Australia on Sunday, June 19 from Seattle at 3:00 PM ET and Türkiye on Saturday, June 25 at 10:00 PM ET.
Every U.S. Men’s National Team Group Stage match will air on FOX and feature special extended coverage, so listeners who want the national team path do not need to hunt across platforms. iHeart also said it is home to dozens of original soccer-focused iHeartPodcasts in English and Spanish, which gives the tournament an audio ecosystem beyond the live match feed.
16 Cities, 48 Teams
The tournament will run across 16 host cities in the United States, Canada and Mexico, with 48 teams competing across North America. That geography makes the radio and streaming package practical: a single distribution deal covers a continent-spanning event without forcing listeners to track separate local feeds.
For anyone following the tournament through audio, the useful takeaway is simple: iheartradio will carry every match, the U.S. side gets priority placement on more than 100 stations, and the opening and closing dates are already set. If you want one place to stay with the World Cup from kickoff to the final whistle, this is it.
